The hotel is very close and convenient to the train station, lion monument, and the main shopping area. The hotel was very reasonably priced for its location and was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. I was able to extend my stay for an extra night without any issues or huge differences in price.
The room is basic, although that's compared to the Alpha Palmiers I stayed at the night before. It's a very decent hotel.

We had coffee, fresh bread and meats for breakfast and it was amazing.

The hotel is within walking distance to the train station, Lucern Lake, Old Town and attractions and many retail and grocery shops. The rate comes with breakfast, so for a short stay of 2 nights, it is good value for money.
The bathroom does not come with an exhaust fan, as a result there is a damp smell all the time.

The hotel and restaurant staffs were very helpful. Breakfast food was delicious and plentiful. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, though some menu items seemed overly expensive. The location of the hotel is perfect for shopping and walking to the Lake and Old Town of Lucerne. Shops located just across the street from the hotel carry lovely bread, cheese and chocolate.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel De La Paix. Lucerne (Switzerland in general) is expensive, and this was at the cheaper end of the scale. It was clean, but basic. But that was fine. Breakfast was buffet style and quite nice. There was no air-con in the rooms - but we had a fan and were able to leave our (4th floor) balcony door open all night to allow some respite from the heat! All in all - would recommend it for a basic, central hotel in Lucerne.

Breakfast was good in ambassdor hotel which is nearby. Location is good too. Indian restaurant nearby. Good for business people.
Would not recommend for families with young children. Pretty small rooms. With the money i gave, not satisfied with the service and room size. It was raining and they didnt even had a bell boy to carry luggage. The staff in Hotel de la paix are a bit racist, but they become polite after seeing my benz !! Will not recommend to stay !!

This hotel is in the perfect location. The bus to and from the train station stops right in front of the door and runs frequently. Walk one way and you are at the lion monument, the other you are at the castle walls or down on the water. Perfect

Proximity to major attractions, Clean and well-maintained facilities, Access to local transport with visitor card
Rooms desperately need air conditioning for warmer months!!! The outdated decor feels more like a budget motel. Road noise from lower floors is quite irritating, especially for light sleepers!!!

Attentive staff, beautiful views of old town and the mountains, everything is VERY GOOD. The triple room is brand-new and has an individual safe, central heating and a work desk. Its location is unbeatable, quite close to Bourbaki Panorama Museum.

Highly recommend for families seeking relaxation
The hotel had a great location, just a short walk from the lake. The staff treated us well, always smiling and going out of their way to help with any requests.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still reasonable for what was offered.
